Love at first sit.
People don't choose a pet sitter the way they choose a taxi. They choose them the way they choose a partner. On instinct. On trust. On whether they simply feel right. So instead of making yet another pet ad, we made what looked like a dating film. Confessional interviews. Butterflies. First impressions. Everything points towards one story... until the perfect match turns out to be Brucey. A wonderfully scruffy old dog.
A campaign airing in the USA, that makes TrustedHousesitters feel less like a marketplace and more like a community built around people who genuinely love animals. It’s a perfect match, just not the one you think.
We borrowed shamelessly from the language of modern romance. The close framing. The awkward smiles. The little pauses. The warm cinematography. Even the script carefully avoids saying too much, letting people fill in the blanks themselves. The less we explained, the more convinced people became they'd worked it out.
Sometimes the quickest way to explain what a brand is isn't to explain it at all. It's to let people figure it out for themselves.
